Quaker Retreat at Holy Cross Abbey

Are you being led to set aside a time of retreat in the new year?

Catherine Cox (RFM Fall Retreat leader) and Rita Willett will be leading a small Quaker contemplative retreat at Holy Cross Abbey in Berryville VA on February 7 to 9.
This retreat is a program of the School of the Spirit Ministry. Information and registration at http://www.schoolofthespirit.org/virginia-retreat/
<http://www.schoolofthespirit.org/virginia-retreat/>
Quakers and non-Quakers are welcome – feel free to pass this information along or come with a friend.
The brochure and flyer are attached.

Note: This contemplative retreat was inadvertently scheduled the same weekend as BYM Women’s Retreat – some Friends are already committed that weekend.
If you are not attending the BYM retreat, consider this opportunity to enjoy a quiet weekend of reflection in the Abbey’s retreat house.

Quaker Women, have you registered for BYM Women’s Retreat?

February days lurk cloudy and cold, but warm friendship, lusty singing, good food, and sweet silence will prevail at the Baltimore Yearly Meeting Women’s Retreat, February 7-9. It will be held at Pearlstone Retreat Center in Reisterstown, MD, north of Baltimore. Registration is open  https://www.bym-rsf.org/events/ymevents/women20.html. You need to make a $100 deposit to reserve a spot. The full cost varies from $240 to $300 depending on housing choice; scholarship help is available from our Meeting (Adult Spiritual Education Committee) and from BYM. Young Friends (14-17) are welcome, with a sponsor. Maybe this Retreat could be on the top of your Christmas wish list . . . .
Go to the web address above for lots of information. Please contact Barbara Myers (bmyers@vcu.edu) if you have questions.
